With over twenty years of experience, I can help you move forward in your life. I provide short term, solution-oriented therapy as well as longer term work aimed at resolving inner conflicts. I have broad experience and training in several theoretical orientations but am wedded to none. I’ll work collaboratively and interactively with you, using empathy, flexibility, insight and humor to craft a treatment plan tailored to your unique strengths and needs.
I believe there is an instinct towards growth and development in all of us. That instinct can get thwarted, leaving people stuck and frustrated. I help people be compassionate with themselves as they're learning new tools and overcoming obstacles.

Using therapy to solve problems is all about integration. The goals of therapy are to move from rigidity, avoidance and withdrawal, to flexibility, engagement and connection. You’ll be encouraged to take another look at the story you tell about your life. Even if you were powerless in the past, it’s possible to have control in the present. You’ll learn to respond thoughtfully rather than react self-destructively to what life throws in your direction. And when you’re faced with tragedy and loss, having a compassionate witness along with you can be enormously helpful.
